I cook in batches to save on daily cooking time. I use them to store leftovers. Saves space in the fridge. Cleaning is easy. I just sometimes soak it in dish soap for a few minutes and then hand wash it. The other reason I bought it is the size as it can hold multiple servings which you can just reheat in the microwave when needed. I haven't tried it in the oven yet.

I am trying to stop using plastic products. The glass is clean and with proper care will last indefinitely and will not warp. This Pyrex 7 cup (or any other size) tumbler is the perfect alternative to storing leftovers with an airtight lid. They also keep well in the fridge. So easy to clean and the beautiful turquoise lid makes a great presentation when cooking with friends or family.

Good quality is what you would expect from Pyrex. You can freeze it or reheat it in the microwave, but don't throw it in the microwave right away after taking it out of the freezer. There is a video on the internet where they explode. However, I took them out of the freezer and put them on the counter an hour before the microwave and had no problems. I don't care what color the caps are. This one I bought was turquoise which is cool because it looks summery.

The title says it all. I have had Pyrex glass bowls for years and use them for cooking, storing leftovers etc. We try not to use plastic at all. I've microwaved food in Pyrex trays countless times. I'm a committed Pyrex customer; I grew up with my mom's Pyrex glass measuring cups, so I knew they could withstand years of use and abuse. I bought these two containers specifically for homemade ice cream and they are perfect for that. Staying in the freezer will not cause these containers to crack or leak.
