Good value for money! Works great for Firewall

Got it today, installed RAM and SSD and it booted straight away. Untangle Firewall installed on it and it's very fast. With a 120GB SSD and 8GB of RAM, it handled anything a firewall could throw at it. I'm thinking of buying another one for my kids to use for homework. So far, so good. Happy with my purchase. I currently have 3 ethernet ports configured. 1 for WAN, 2 for internal and 3 for my web server. I plan to have a 4th for the guest network. This way I have 3 completely separate networks…

Stay away! in Minis

This thing is sooooo slow. 8GB RAM and 120GB SSD, make changes, wait 2, 3, 4 minutes or more. I'm using pfsense which I've been making for years and built this thing after 3 hours of modifications, it still didn't work. The CLI seemed fine, but the web interface was creepy. I can't imagine what this thing is supposed to do. Complete crap. I read the last guys review about how slow it is and thought pfsense is very light and it should work fine, I was wrong and I will return it.

Looks good quality but I have a lemon

So I bought this to set it up as a firewall with unbundling. Bought a compatible SSD and storage and it worked right away. I bought it used (VG condition) but it looked brand new as far as I could tell. I installed Unangle but it didn't load. It continued to boot from the EFI shell. Installed again and it worked fine. It worked fine for a few days and then just died for me. Plugged it into a monitor and it ended up back in the EFI shell. Error decrypting for download. Installed again…

BIOS setup under Computers and Tablets

Bought this one, added 120GB SSD and 4GB RAM and installed Untangle. On reboot it said "Watchdog can't stop" and this was interfering with every reboot! It can't be that this is deployed remotely on the router! In American Megatrends, the BIOS is "OS Version" and two options: Win7 (default); Win8+. Need to switch to 8+, fixed. You can also switch the power supply to "On when power is restored". There are no moving parts and it gets warmer. A 2.5 port is also available.
