This tool is not designed for the motorcycle chains advertised. I used this tool after sanding the chain pin flush. The tool fits perfectly by guiding the tool pin towards the center of the chain pin, but it doesn't have the strength to push the chain pin in. Very weak metal.

I bought this to shorten the chain that came with my Seeutek PK80 80cc kit (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B0GCZ3I/ref= ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09__o00_s00?ie= UTF8&psc=1). It worked very well, was easy to use and was a must-have tool for breaking/shortening bike chains. Just make sure the size is suitable for your chain.

Work ok. I have a bike with a 520 chain, the hole for the chain pin is too small and I couldn't slide it through. I had to take a drill and a drill bit of the appropriate size to drill a larger hole. Once I did that, it worked. It was a cheap tool and you get what you pay for.

After cutting about 1/2 inch off the push pin and lubricating all the threads it worked fine on the 428 chain. Shortening the pin made it less prone to flexing and greatly improved contact with carving. Made from inferior steel. Ships from China so I hope you take your time.

My threads frayed after the first use. Very poor quality and couldn't get the job done. I had to go the other way and drill out the rivet and then hit the rivet with a small pointed chisel. It took way more time than necessary and a waste of time and money. Save time and money by purchasing a higher quality unit from Revzilla or your local PowerSports store.
