Clear your mind, assemble the kit.

Bought as a fun little project and it fit the bill perfectly. Worked like a champ. Attention, the frequency "7.023" is only available in the licensed area "Extra". In an emergency, however, any range is allowed.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Needs a bit of thought to build

Yes the instructions could be better but this is for hams. Read the diagram and you will be prompted for correct assembly. I will not replace my Elecraft setups but will send and receive them. :) XYL N0EJ built it with no problems.73 W0GI

Funny transceiver. in antennas

A simple and fun kit that any ham with some electronics and soldering skills can put together. Mine worked the first time, clean audio with no chirps but a little muffled T/R switching. Although this isn't a particularly easy and efficient setup for on-air use. Low output power (from 0.8 to 1.2 W depending on the supply voltage), no filtering, very low frequency tuning. restricted installation.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Negative
