I have always used Astra blades but have been interested in other brands, Feather is the only brand that comes close to providing a nice smooth comfortable shave. All other brands are a rough shave journey. Definitely get what you pay for.

This is a great way to start shaving and try out different blades. I'm surprised how different everyone was. I didn't use soap - I'm a real fan of Taylor of Old Bond Street sandalwood shaving cream with a badger hair brush. I use a Baili razor. Good, non-aggressive razor, suitable for sensitive skin. I've recently started using a safety razor but didn't want to pay $$$$$ for blades. This helped: I tried different brands to find the one that worked for me. And don't pay too much. The bonus is that it comes with an alum block, which is essential for cuts, scrapes, and irritation.

Exactly what was promised in the box. I have yet to try the blades but they all came in individually sealed boxes. The listing said it would come with an alum stick and it came with it. I am very happy to have a selection of blades to try.

Some great, some not so good. Those that look cheap are what they are. I would give a lower rating but I think there is a lot to learn if you expect a cheap sample kit to work on all cylinders. Bad blades make you appreciate the ones that actually work. Imagine smoking a Cuban cigar and you don't have anything comparable? The valleys make the peaks appear higher. 10/10 would only buy once

The range of blades is excellent, you can try different manufacturers. On the other hand, the shaving soap ended up in the trash because it was almost useless.

I rate Feather and Astras as the best razors. But they are very sharp and require caution. Other razors aren't as sharp and are a good starting point for double-edged shaves.
