They work. on office electronics

I bought two of these for my office where we often do presentations on maps, on chart boards and on the same screen as PowerPoint slides. For what they are, they work. I like the longer hands but they work great and the larger tip is actually a differentiator as it draws attention to the pointed motif. A hand pointer is often required when using the screen since lasers do not appear on a monitor or television screen.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Great presentation tool. There is no magnet.

Used this to present a job interview on a big TV screen that didn't show my laser pointer. It doesn't have a magnet, so future employers won't be nervous if I ruin their screen. Small enough when folded to easily fit in my suit breast pocket. It closes easily and without much risk of bending it, although you could probably break it if you're rough. Highly recommended, 5 stars.

Good Telescope Pointer

I give presentations at work several times a year and bought a pair of these to replace two very similar telescopes that I lost. They're lightweight and about the size of a pen, but stretch easily into a decent pointer and stay stretched until they shrink to pen size. The handle on the end is big enough for the audience to see where I'm pointing. The chrome on the pointer appears to be of good quality.

Disposable pointer you may need to buy in bulk

This pointer does what it's supposed to do - expands and retracts to pocket size with minimal effort. The price is great and the pointer feels good when held compact/retracted. However, when expanded, this thing is weak and breaks easily. I went through 2 of these before trying another provider. However, for value reasons, you can plan sales and buy a few hints ahead of time, or buy back as needed (unless you find a more reliable/long-lasting option).

Pros
  • I keep my fists
Cons
  • Discontinued

My colleague's quality of life has greatly improved

I got this from a colleague who used an old, tattered ruler to point at things on his monitor or someone else's monitor or whiteboard in the hallway. Often the ruler wasn't there, so you had to stop and look for it. He absolutely LOVES this pointer. He carries it in his left breast pocket and is constantly pointing at things. He's ordering more for the office because he swears others have shown interest and also "every pro should have one" 😂 I'd say it makes a great gift for people who show…

Pros
  • understandable even for the old
Cons
  • appearance

Ideal for teaching and helping students

Simple and works! Batteries are not required. Fits in a shirt pocket. Ideal for lectures. I teach computer programming to students. I use this pointer to point and highlight objects on a projection screen, better than a mouse, because the students see me walking towards the screen and moving my hands, rather than looking at my screens and trying to without looking . handy for pointing at computer screens to help students with their programs. I can point at the student from behind without taking
