Cotton sherpa or cotton flannel are both great materials for castor oil packs. Avoid materials like velour and plush which have larger gaps in the weave that absorb oil. Also make sure to avoid bleached fabrics, dyes, and synthetic fabrics like fleece. IS IT MESSY? As with all oils, castor oil CAN stain fabrics, so always take care when applying to the skin.
