This product is not sharp. I tried 3 or 4 pairs and they didn't cut the thread from the machine. I would not recommend this product.

Just what I wanted for our annual Sew n Soak gift bag retreat. Easy to hold, sharp edges, shiny appearance. Light in hand and affordable.

When holding the trimmers you may feel a sharp edge that is not properly deburred. Be careful not to cut your hand. The blades are not always sharp. One will be sharp and the other will be blunt. It is difficult for us to cut the thread easily.

They are not as well made as the last set I bought. Sharp edges had to be filed, and rivets were sharp too. I used my pliers to fix it and then they just didn't have the quick cut I needed. Some of them had to be bent because the cut didn't come together. Not a very good buy for me.

I like this one. I use them to trim threads in my sewing projects. They are very sharp. My daughter even used it to cut out little pictures on paper. A word of caution, they are easy to squeeze so you will pinch your fingers between the metal and it will hurt! Just keep that in mind when using them. Also, I highly recommend them.

Priced at $12 for $9 I didn't think they would be useful at all but the reviews were positive so I bought them. They are very sharp and cut the thread very tightly. I use these for T135 nylon thread on leather and they work great. My wife has branded string trimmers which are nice to hold, but they feel very heavy and the blades are thicker which means the string end is longer. They're certainly not very well made, but there's nothing wrong with using them.
