🖋️ Set of 2 Quill Pens with Powdered Ink Review

A fountain pen must have a slit in the center that serves as an ink reservoir. Unfortunately, mine wasn't cut that way.

1 of 2 feathers are not trimmed at the end. It was fresh off the goose. I should try to copy the cut with another knife. Otherwise, it was interesting to read the little paragraph that went with it.

Bought a couple of sets as gifts for a group of kids who were just learning about goose feathers - they loved it. The packaging was a bit fiddly (cellophane bags were taped together) but it was the best price I could find anywhere.

My students love them, but they are always amazed at how difficult it is to write legibly with a quill pen. These pens aren't easy to use, but that's not the point, is it? Haven't tried powder ink yet (seems to be very messy!) but quill pens work well if you want to learn how to write with a pen.
