This bag looked great in the photos, but in person the fabric was thinner and flimsier than anticipated. The long strap was also uncomfortable to wear and kept slipping off my shoulder.

It's all in one layer. A large inner pocket. The shoulder strap can be folded up for carrying or, like me, unfolded and worn over the other shoulder, making the strap about 6 inches wide. The cotton bag is very light and simple, but it is exactly what I expected from the description and exactly what I wanted.
