📼 Efficient Video Tape Rewinding with Radio Shack 1-Way VHS Video Tape Rewinder (Item 44-1223) Review

I bought 3 of these - 2 of which don't work properly. One was so bad I had to return it - the second doesn't work properly but kept it and the third works great. I kept the not so good one - Sometimes it works well and sometimes it makes a lot of noise. and the top doesn't close completely for a good fit. Too bad only 1 out of 3 works well :(

Hard to find good old VHS winder for good old VHS cassettes. This winder was very cheap and still works a few years later. Admittedly it's not used very often as VHS tapes aren't in high demand so it can wear out faster with more use. But I think it is an adequate device for this purpose and I have no problem with this winder either in terms of price or equipment.

This was a well used rewind, not new as the product name would suggest. About half the time, the take-up reel will not stop or eject the tape after rewinding, but will groan and rattle and try to rewind the tape. Since it's rarely used and since someone will likely be around to pull the strap if the machine starts making noise, I'll live with it and not worry about returns.

That's what I would call a "Chinese" element. he rewinds the tapes, but not always to the end. Our VHS tapes are pretty old, but . I bought it to keep the best set (VHS-DVD combo) and the best set has no issues with tapes - it's a beast. I need to monitor this rewind to make sure the tape doesn't break.
