🔀 Enhanced Bidirectional 4-Way 3GHz Cable Distribution Amplifier by RadioShack Review

The seller is very efficient. Not operational yet. This happens when a new antenna is installed. I already have an old, inaccessible, almost identical item that has been in use for several years. Excellent!

Arrived broken, I was able to plug it in while holding the input and output cables, but I had to unscrew and disassemble the product to remove it because the inputs and outputs were so broken they just moved in place and turned spot.

Great product at such a reasonable price. It works great to boost the cable signal even before the cable modem. Cable TV works great and the internet speed test proves that the internet signal goes both ways (upload and download) without any problems.

This product makes the difference between the absence of channels and their perfection. Without them, cbs and fox refused to even sign up. My antenna is connected to a two way splitter, then to two amplifiers, and then each output is connected to a cable output. There are no other splitters. Everything is now a strong signal and perfect.

It keeps my signal better than my previous connection. But I don't have a signal level meter and my TV doesn't have a built in signal meter. It says the dB gain control is adjustable, but I can't tell the difference between low and high. I would think that those on the outer edge of antenna reception might want to use a higher gain control. But for general use it seems fine. Anyway, the price was good.

As I write this the product photo shows the current Radio Shack #1500473. I have received RS #1502506 MY 2011 which is a one input four output amplifier with a maximum gain of 8 dB acts. .In the description it says that the product you will receive has a gain of 10dB. In fact, both the model shown and the one I received have a maximum gain of 8dB. The title is wrong too. The item shipped is a 1GHz amp, not a 3GHz model. I think they decided people would be happy with any 4 socket model. Wrong -
