which is nice. good for GPS, finder and accessories

Works well, handy and compact. I use this as part of a phone mount on my motorcycle. The phone hasn't slipped once since I installed it and I haven't had to turn the knob in a ridiculous way. The screw holes are hexagonal, so they can be used for mounting nuts, which is very convenient.

Perfect for mounting my Ram X-Grip to the existing NEMA compliant mount in my truck to mount an iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Mini.

This bracket was used with the BracketTron multi-vehicle metal bracket. A few years later, the BracketTron's adjustable plastic mount failed due to the sun. I removed the plastic parts and used this RAM mount with RAM X-Grip mount to fit both my iPad Mini and iPhone 6 Plus. Ideal!

$11 each, not including hardware

I bought the metal RAM mounts and didn't include any mounting hardware. Then I bought two of these single socket RAM mounts and you know what? They also didn't come with mounting hardware. At least the suction cup is well made, but for the prices that RAM mounts charge for everything else, they really cheapen what you actually get in the package.

RAM makes great products and fits in with the rest.

RAM makes great products and goes with the rest. I bought this along with an adhesive mount to help decide which mount would work best for the cell phone in my jeep. I ended up using an adhesive mount because I didn't have to remove the dash and drill holes, but I installed it on my kayak for a rod holder (also from RAM) and it's great. Win.

This is memory. Excellent quality. Lots of mounting options.

I couldn't find the right phone mount for my truck. There's a ton of cheap plastic junk out there with all sorts of bad reviews. I found a metal device that was highly rated and seemed simple and reliable. But it has a 1" RAM ball. I have RAM mounts for several items on my bikes and planes so I looked around and found this base. Base diameter 2.5". As it turns out the (useless ) Coin holder in my Toyota Tundra right where I wanted the phone holder and the round hole it installed in is 2.5"…
