Right now, bungee cords are doing what I bought them for: keeping my car covers in the wind. The bungee seems to have the strength and length to hold the caps in place and looks like they will last a while. I'm happy with the purchase as the need for a bungee of any length is just as important as the tape around it.

This is a very strong long elastic cord. It was exactly what I was looking for to protect my window climate cover for the winter. It was a little longer than I needed so I tied a knot to shorten it a bit. It appears to be holding up well and is exposed to the elements 24 hours a day. I didn't find the smell overpowering like some reviewers did.

I bought these because they were the right length to fit the pannier on my bikes to the back of my camper van. I loaded and secured the bikes on May 25th and did not use the bikes on our trip for various reasons. When we got home on August 15th, the attached photos show what they looked like. Needless to say, I was disappointed that they fell apart so quickly and easily.

About 40 years ago, my uncle, a former ranch truck driver, gave me the idea of using bungee cords as an exercise tool. Since I was a typical teenager at the time, I figured he was fooling around. Ok I bought these to make a temporary horse fence for when we are going to let the horses graze on the grass in our yard. I screwed the eyebolts into two fence posts and threw them over the opening. They work great for this purpose, but they don't have longevity at all. I used this for light tasks. I kept the outdoor dining table and chairs together when there were strong wind warnings. It appears to fall apart in wet weather after about six months of use. The photo shows that the middle rope's metal hook was permanently torn off overnight. Luckily nobody was hurt. I have a shed in my driveway and I wanted to cover it with a heavy tarp to help it get through the winter. These bungee cords are perfect for the job. The canopy is 10' x 10' and the tarp I got is 15' x 15' so the edges will fold under the canopy.
