Cat5 is sold as Cat6!

As others have said, this is not Cat6 but Cat5. Without separator and without protection. Jacob commented that he wrote 5e on his jacket. The cables I received say cat6! It's not just an incorrect listing for Category 6 giving you Category 5, it's a Category 5 cable with a Category 6 cable printed on it. How confusing is that? If I could give zero stars I would.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

These are not 24 AWG wires as described by Revain Sales.

These are not 24AWG cables as described on Revain's sales page. These are thinner 26AWG cables. They also do not comply with TIA/EIA 568-C.2 as described on the website. This is an old TIA/EIA 568-B.2 standard. That's why I returned them.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

This is UTP Cat 6 (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable

so I'm looking into some IT/Network right now and according to the tutorials I have this cable is Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Category 6 cable I even cut one of the extra cables I had left over. In the photos you can see 4 twisted pairs separated by a PLASTIC CORE to reduce crosstalk. CAT-5 and CAT-5e cables have 4 twisted pairs but no plastic core separating the twisted pairs. The cable may have a metal shield (STP = Shielded Twisted Pair) to avoid interference, making it more expensive, but

Pros
  • good thing
