Handy drawing tool

I work so much on the computer that my handwriting skills are a thing of the past. If I had to write a check in my normal handwriting, nobody would understand what I wrote. I haven't written a check without my handbook in 20 years. I'm typing in the holes in the manual and reading what I've written is no problem. Enjoy!

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • There are nuances

Nice hard plastic

Nice hard plastic. Clearly without inscriptions on the guide. The guide to writing Qwick code letters is longer but has too much ink so it's not as quick as it should be when I'm trying to copy information or see what's above the line I'm writing on . I was hoping that this Chartpak would be the answer to this problem, but the Chartpak is 2.6 inches shorter in width, meaning I have to move the guide twice while writing across the page.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

This is a well made device

I used a similar device 30 years ago when changing electrical circuit boards as an apprentice. It keeps everything you write straight and consistent in size. I bought it to write addresses on envelopes and it works fine. This device is thick enough to stay securely in place when I'm using it and feels very solid. I've found that my handwriting is much better even when I'm not using it. This is a well made device.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Ease of maintenance

Functional and affordable

I bought this to jot down lines in a binderless journal that I will use to record my entrepreneurial journey. It is lightweight but durable and very easy to use. It's also at a good price. Like a ruler, this belongs in every pencil case and pen. While you can still use a ruler to draw lines, a linear guide already provides the right line measurements for a variety of needs. You will find many features of the linework.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Old engineering tool

I've been using them every day for many, many years; It's probably the 5th or 6th I've bought. They are made of slightly rubbery plastic that is quite durable. They usually last until I drop something on them and break them. There is usually a small burr in the grooves that needs to be deburred before you can use them. A pocket knife or Xacto knife held along the edge of the groove is usually sufficient to remove the burr. Don't try to cut it as you will take too much material.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

It's perfect for what I need it for

I'm a small business and ship quite a bit. I have had problems with the post office in the past where my envelopes are too thick to be mailed as a normal letter, although I have followed the rules for a normal letter. I got this manual so I can be 100% sure the letter is no thicker than 1/8 inch which is great! All I do is make sure the envelope goes through the 1/8th guide slot and everything is fine. I've wanted to buy this for a long time.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
