I had no problems with the setup. I had it out of the box, in a case, and I connected it to my Pi in minutes. It booted and worked the first time, including the touchscreen. Clarity/resolution is good and responsiveness is what you would expect. It was an absolutely great purchase.

As a big nerd, I own two Pi 4 8GB models. I have this one with a touchscreen so I can use it as a thin client (a tedious thing to do, but fun!). Get a decent case for your Pi, plug it in, and get a screen that performs reasonably well and feels pretty good. Maybe another one for the diagnostics panel for my main PC? Maybe a media server for my home network? Who knows, building is fun!

This is a pretty decent display for what you pay for, but like most Raspberry Pi displays and small screens, the color fades to be desired best. desired. There is also no convenient way to set a fixed brightness level on the Raspberry Pi display, it resets after every boot. Worked great for a few months, then the screen started flickering white around the edges, showing lines all over the screen, etc. I made sure it wasn't an SD card or a connected Pi3, and I also know what it wasn't because of the conversion, because I hung it on the wall in the closet, where it worked perfectly until I died. Unfortunately I broke part of the frame (very thin) a few hours after opening the box. The screen still works, including touch functionality, but it's now missing a large chunk on the side.
