It's ok for what you paid for. This is not a premium belt and its durability is questionable. The belt actually has 4 layers, the outer layers are made of synthetic material with a leather lining (see photo). I have several ratchet straps from this seller. All of them including this one are of very good quality. I would buy others from the same seller but not THIS SPECIFIC ONE. The release lever extends beyond the back of the buckle and rests against the waistband of the pants.
