got one of these for a project of mine, fellow employees saw them and threw away the old scool ones, then I couldnt find them, and ordered another pair. changed my way for the good

Works great. Love the quick release. Wish it had a stripper or cutter, but knew that going in. Still worth the money, very sturdy!

Must get coupling in center of the jaws

The first time I used it I did not get the splice in the center the crimping tool and it only crimped one end so you must make sure you get it exactly center and make sure to crimps both ends

Crimping tool works well, but you may need to tighten it first

When I received the crimper I thought it was defective because every time I tried to crimp a quick disconnect connector, the wire would easily slide out. After a quick google search I realized that the tool just needed to be tightened a bit in order to work. There is a little gear near the base of the grips with a + and - on it, if you remove the screw and carefully push the gear towards the +, the crimper will tighten and make a much more secure crimp. Crimp jaws poorly manufactured

The crimp jaws are vaguely shaped. It does not perform a good crip - I have to attack the crimp w/ my pliers after I make it. What's the point? The stripper is basic and does its job, the case is decent. Doesn't matter when I have to add pliers to the case to get the job done.

Doesn't produce a solid crimp

I am using this with the Ticonn heat shrink wire butt connectors and it worked ok for the blue connectors, but I can't get a solid crimp with the red. I am getting a better crimp using pliers. Will be returning this.
