Purchased the Raybestos H17253 Professional Grade Drum Brake Hardware Kit when replacing the brake pads on a 1994 Toyota pickup as the original OEM springs have seen better days . These are high quality OEM replacement parts. It contains all the elements to make both parties.

Installed these on my 4runner at a great price but had to reuse old pins. This kit has pins of two different lengths and both are smaller than the OEM pins making installation difficult unless you are using the old ones. DO NOT throw away old pins. It greatly simplifies their use. Otherwise a good sentence.

I was looking for "c" snap rings that break when removed to replace the rear brake pads on my 4Runner. This kit was so inexpensive that when replacing the rear pads, all of the original brake drums and springs could easily be swapped out. Turns out the Beck-Arnley shoes I bought at Revain had "c" rings anyway. The kit fits perfectly and the result is a fully serviced rear brake system. After all, I have a complete rebuilt set of rear brakes for less than $50. Thank you Revan

I used this kit to change the brakes on my 2001 Toyota 4runner. It looked like a great kit, but in hindsight I probably wouldn't have bought it in the first place, even with 223,000 on the odometer. The pins weren't needed as they are all shorter than the pins on the drums. It was missing the spring cap so I had to reuse one from the drum I already installed and the large yellow springs were wound to the point where they were too close to the ratchet on the tension rod to work properly.
