12 year old loves building toys

My son is 12 and has been collecting Legos since he was 5. I got this remote control car as a gift to improve his grades. He really liked the body (caterpillars). This model drives very well and easily overcomes obstacles. It struggles with traction on parquet, but works great on carpet. It took him about an hour to assemble. But he loves it and is proud of his work. He plays with it all the time

The battery does not charge

The concept of this toy is good. Unfortunately the battery only worked once. The second time we tried to charge it it didn't hold a charge. I contacted the seller and sent a full replacement. It has never been charged. I like the idea of a toy but the battery issue makes it unacceptable. I contacted the seller again and they only offered a partial refund. Why do I have to pay for an inferior product?!

The perfect gift for children aged 8+!

I bought this RC car as a gift for my 8 year old son who often collects lego toys. It was a very cool Sunday project that brought us together and was fun. I would say it's very advanced for an 8 year old to assemble it by yourself, the directions are like Lego, the remote control takes 3 AAA batteries. The last car is amazing! works very well on our little off-road (backyard), he especially likes to overcome obstacles. Would buy it again at any time, see for yourself.

Great alternative to LEGO

My 6 year old went for this one and although it seemed a bit advanced we took a chance. The instructions are a bit sparse and not as detailed as LEGO, so he needed a little help at times, although he sees better than me and corrected some of my mistakes. I would say he did 90% of everything himself. The details are very similar to the LEGO counterparts. The battery is rechargeable, the remote control range is good and the motor performs well, it was definitely a great purchase, I would give it…

Great value and lots of fun but track can be tricky and requires more parts

My boys (7 and 9) really enjoyed building this RC track kit. The battery connection was a bit loose on both devices, so initially they wouldn't charge. After troubleshooting, we disassembled the battery case and pressed the battery connector and it worked. I suggest you make sure the battery and controller work well before assembling the car. The cars are pretty durable for their price and the fact that there are only 300 of them. After a few days of use, the rails have come loose and don't…
