Doesn't work on my Android

I'm pretty sure this deserves 5 stars but I couldn't use it on my phone as intended. I may be able to give it 5 stars later, but this paragraph does not list the apps that I can put on my phone to use it. I found one with USB C on the Galaxy S8 but no luck so far. I'll keep researching what I can use to make it work on my phone and then update the review.

  • Pleasant

Works Computer and accessories

Review for smart card readers. Why Revain groups unrelated reviews together I'll never understand. In any case, the chip card reader works perfectly. One star off because the status indicator is always red and never changes. Most of them will turn green, indicating that smart card pairing is active.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons

Works on Windows DOES NOT WORK ON ANDROID

The people answering the questions are wrong. My Pixelbook go works fine on mypay with Identiv SCR3310v2.0 readers. This reader will not work. Since the other reader works fine, this has nothing to do with the software. Actually, this reader is not compatible with Android.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Upgrade availability

Works on a new MacBook to read CAC

My 2020 MacBook (running Catalina IOS) autodetected the hardware. I followed a small leaflet with instructions on how to download the updates (no DVD drive to read the included minidisk) which also directed me to the Militarycac website and everything worked for secure login and webmail access.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Updates

I can't access websites.

Purchased for use in the MacBook Pro. Even follow the instructions on the military CAC website. All certificates and drivers are present. Unable to access website on MAC. Tried on Windows 10, installed drivers, simedit, activclient and still can't access Mil or AKO sites. It doesn't seem to recognize Card. I tested the card with the SCR 3310 reader and it worked. Not easy to use. Never had to work.

Pros
  • Memory card accessory
Cons
  • So far so good

Great for my USB-C MacBook!

I have a new MacBook Pro with the new USB Type-C ports and using a simple adapter prevented me from accessing CAC enabled websites. I went to my trusty old website: MilitaryCac.com and it listed this CAC reader as the one that will work with the new USB ports. I connected it to my MacBook and it worked straight away! I know I can access my OWA email and other military websites, so I can work from home if needed without using my much larger iMac desktop.

  • Electronics

Very good! for memory card reader

Quick and easy transfer to my MacBook 12. The labeling is a bit confusing at first but remember the side slots are for HC cards. My previous review (above) was for a Saicoo 4 slot card reader which I really liked. I then bought a Saicooยฎ USB C 3-port hub with 2-slot card reader, as this item contains 3 USB ports in addition to the card reader slots. All 3 USB slots and both card reader slots work great with my MacBook 12. Since the MacBook only has 1 port, this new hub is much more convenientโ€ฆ

Pros
  • computers and accessories
Cons
  • hard to say

Great item, easy to use and install.

The CAC card reader was all they talked about. It works and is easy to use. The only downside they don't mention is that after installing the driver you have to download another program to install the certificates you need to use it on any of the websites you want to access. So for me I'm military and use it for my paycheck, tuition etc. So I need to download all dod certs and install them in all internet programs I use like firefox internet explorer etc. It wasn't a big deal and if you got itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Memory card reader
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
