Excellent value in power and hand tools

This product features an unusual design that works as well as it looks, and you can't beat the price! I hope they come out with a smaller version too (let's say 20-24 oz) and look forward to the wider Real Steel branded family!

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Weight

Great hammer! - Hand tool

This is a fantastic hammer for the money. I'm a mechanic and I don't think I'll ever spend $80 on a hammer. I bought this one instead and was not disappointed. This is a great ball hammer, I use it almost every day and it works as intended.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Secret

Good build quality, cushioning is better than expected.

I think this is a good buy. After smashing a 4-5 pound hammer in my hand with it, I was able to hit as hard as I needed with this hammer with very little vibration. I was quite surprised.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Fair

BFH to score things.

I find it funny that this hammer deserves attention because of its lightness. It's not easy, it's a two pound hammer. For the money it's worth I don't see how you can go wrong when looking for a bfh. It has a beautiful design and is easy to work with. Blades on some of the bowl carving tools I'm about to forge. The ball looks just the right size for it. I am happy with them.

Pros
  • Polished head and ball joint eliminate kickback and reduce hand fatigue
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great hammer for $$

I recently broke the handle of my large 30 year old ball bearing hammer. The new wooden head grip was almost the same as this new fiberglass grip version. So far I've nailed all types of sheet metal, wood and steel studs in place and the hammer has held up well. At 2 pounds it has some "slug" and the round head is an advantage when setting scatter fixtures and shaping sheet metal. I like it. Anyone want a two-pound, 35-year-old hammerhead-shaped paperweight?

Pros
  • All carbon steel, profiled, forged and heat treated, long life
Cons
  • Available in white only
