Some cheap plastic. but so far so good. He was driving a 2005 4runner sr5 V8 4.7, he said it wouldn't work. The lie worked great! Easy to screw in and out!

Thank goodness I ordered this and it was the right and solid part because my lace popped up and got me thinking. although not anymore!

Kit includes screws required for installation. Not sure if this is user error or not, but it just isn't as tight as the OEM latch. I've fiddled with it to get it perfect, but the console lid pops open from time to time. Otherwise no problem.

Broken Latch Repair on a 2005 Toyota Solara SLE. Of course, the old one broke a week before it was sold, but this one arrived quickly. This solved the problem and now the door stays closed. Much better than 20 times more parts from Toyota and the delivery was quick.

I didn't mind the broken latch but my cousin went skiing in my car and was so upset that he sent me a link when we got home. Maybe five minutes to remove the old one and screw in the new one? A world of differences and so easy! Now I'm ashamed that I lived with my broken latch that took so long to slam to click.

Received this today WITHOUT the metal clip on the back that keeps the lid closed. The console lid keeps opening, so I needed a replacement. With each impact, the lid opens and does not remain closed. Buyer Warning! Your lid won't stay closed without the metal clip. My original clip broke causing the hook to come loose. NO clip, just another hook I didn't have to replace!

Love the hinge system. This one twists instead of bending. I bought this to replace the top console latch on my 03. It fits, but I had to press the latch to close it. I put it on the bottom console because while it didn't fit well there (had to trim it down a bit) I wasn't worried about it opening up and all the content inside getting lost. TLDR, fits well, doesn't fix well, still usable, could possibly be adjusted if you're ok with some trimming/trimming.
