Not possible. All three had different readings. They will NOT work in the freezer! I put them in two different freezers and neither worked when it got cold.

The display is very easy to read. Not waterproof at all. We have tried using it in the fridge for temperature control - I would not recommend using this product. A little disappointed that one of the three was dead on arrival.

To get to the battery I had to pry the compartment out with a screwdriver. Riptide should not be opened manually under any circumstances. After a new battery was put in, it kept an accurate temperature. I was so upset I almost threw it in the trash.

Purchased in April 2021. By the end of July 2021 those didn't show up in my freezer, took them off and showed the temperature when reheating - but certainly not the freezing temp!. By October 2021, 2 thermometers in the freezer and 1 thermometer in the fridge were no longer working without a display, without anything.

Out of the box. All I had to do was press the power button. Let them stand on my desk for about 15 minutes to get a stable temperature, and between the three, the difference in measured temperature was less than 0.3 degrees Fahrenheit, such as 72.3, 72.1 and 72.4 . Put them in the freezer last night to see how the high/low function works. I'll be adding more after a few days of use, but so far I'm impressed!

These are great for the fridge but the freezer instructions say they only work down to -4 degrees but my freezers are set to 0 and shut off. Maybe because I rarely open the freezer, but I bought to specifically monitor the temperature in freezers. I have to take them out and warm them up to make sure they still work. Not perfect, but just taking them out for a few minutes I can see that they work.

The battery runs out in 3-4 months! Then buy a button cell battery. Find a very small screwdriver and remove the tiny screws. Wait while you try to put them back. The battery cannot be removed. Be careful not to damage the thermometer. @%%&$#^ Who is going to do all this. Forget it! Only buy the device with AA or AAA batteries! Besides, who needs a thermometer that has to be turned on to take a reading and then turned off again?

After the recent power outage we wanted a fridge/freezer thermometer to see if the temperature was still good enough to store groceries (although we keep in mind that we can't open it, which releases the cold before turning the power back on). They are high quality and meet our needs. Note that depending on your shelf, you can easily rotate the clip if needed - just take a small screwdriver and press on one end of the clip to loosen it.

I bought these for our freezers to keep an eye on the internal temperature during a power outage. The blocks seemed to work great when I first installed them. A few days later I went to check the freezer temp and the display was blank. I pulled one out thinking the battery was dead and while I was looking for a spare battery the display came back on.
