Must come with screws

Too bad it doesn't come with screws. It's a pain to go out and try to find something that fits. you can't buy another. looks different next time.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

worked great for me

I wanted to snap the lid of the oak cardboard box securely so that I could use it for the radio + battery, with a carrying handle on the lid. These latches work *great* for me, easily holding 20 pounds or so of my 12V20AH+ car stereo battery off the cover.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • old

Remember it's small

Looks like good hardware (haven't installed it yet) but notice how small it is. I assumed this was the standard size for this type of rackmount device, but it's significantly less than four cents long. It will probably work, but I would have ordered something bigger if I had looked more closely.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Useless features

WAY WAY WAY too hard to turn!

VERY difficult to turn! It has fat in it and I turned it back and forth several times to try to loosen it but to no avail. I think I know what happened here. My guess is that they calculated the part tolerances the same as uncoated but forgot to account for the thickness of the black powder coating. and/or 2. The way to assemble it is to pinch and bend the metal in a channel around the sliding mechanism and they just make it too tight. It's not worth paying for return shipping, so it's not…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Minor problems
