Fits like a glove - exhaust pipes and tailpipes

Was very surprised at the quality and fit of this pipe. I figured I'd have to weld it in as it's not usually a sliding construction. Maybe it was Nissan's decision to make their exhaust pipe an OD of exactly 2 inches, but it was a no-brainer nonetheless. Simply attach and you're done.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

OD of exhaust pipes and nozzles not quite 2 "

I did a bit of research and found that exhaust pipes are measured by the outside diameter (OD), it was marked 2" but it actually was 2 -1/ OD 8 inches. This of course caused some problems but nothing major, the part was still in use but the belt clip had trouble connecting the 2-1/8" OD to the existing 2" exhaust.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • big and bulky

This is the best quality you will find at many local auto parts stores.

That says it with a VERY THICK stainless steel mesh, inside and out. Some cheaper flexible tubing has a thin stainless steel braid on the outside and a folded layer of stainless steel on the inside. They are not very durable as metal fatigue sets in within about a year of riding. This is a much better design.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some nuances

Universal Triple Ply Flexible Fitting

I used mine on a 2009 Malibu 3.6 with a broken flex wire. The common practice is to "just" buy another expensive stem. So I welded the old flange onto this new flex (removed one of the bushings and shortened the other of course) and just bolted/clamped it on. Ignore the exhaust glue, I swear, but it's dirty. This thing is welded pretty well and I like the inner braid.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Some minor things

Good stuff.: Parts

I went with 2x6x6 Camry 2002 2.4. The inside diameter of the pipe was exactly the same as the old pipe. So if you want to flush weld it, this is perfect. If you want it to slide in or over an old pipe, this is the wrong size. Its total length is 6 inches. That's about 1.5 inches shorter than the Camry. I was able to cut the pipe from an old piece and get it working, but I would recommend an 8" pipe for a 2002 Camry 2.4. However satisfied with the detail, not at fault for ordering the wrong…

Size is a bit misleading, otherwise great product!

I ordered a size 2" x 8" x 12" L which should have an 8" flexible section, with 2" tubing on each side, for a total length of 12" . The flexible section is actually only 6" instead of 8". Overall length is still 12". Time will tell if the shorter bend length causes any problems in my application, I suspect not. The ones you weld to your exhaust are thicker making it easy to weld in. The quality the unit is excellent - has a braided finish inside and out, exceeded my expectations by a mile is…

Wrong size. Installing the flexible pipe will cost me more

Size 2x8x8 fit my car. So I ordered 2x8x8. But this 2x8x8 is not 2" in diameter, so it doesn't fit at all. The muffler shop charged more for a replacement. And the cutting part was larger than if the 2x8x8 was exactly 2" in diameter, because a 2 1/4" to 2 " adapter is needed. Later I checked 2x6x6 and 2x6x10. They are ideally 2" in diameter. One thing I don't understand is the apparent difference in diameter between the seller's 2x6 and 2x8. Why are they both listed as 2"? The muffler store…
