I bought this to replace an aging Braun Cruzer. I've had about 6 trimmers and am amazed at how good this trimmer is. The blade is of good quality and you notice when you use it. It creates clean lines and cuts to the desired length on the first pass across the area. Since it's advertised as waterproof, that means the blades have to be stainless steel. The battery is great and won't be nearly drained after half an hour of cycling. Claimed 3 hour battery life, and it's not too far from the truth.

Was a good beard trimmer for the first year, then started acting strange. Does not start when button is pressed or goes into turbo mode immediately when button is pressed. Sometimes it would turn on by itself. I've been doing this for about 6 months and then this morning just didn't show up no matter what I tried. at my age i had a lot of beard trimmers from all the big brands. When my last one stopped charging I went back online and found this Beard Boss model. Switched to Remington from Wahl and am delighted with what I got. I've only used it once but it's much better than my previous trimmer. The guides are MUCH easier to put on and take off than the Wahl ones and I'm not worried about breaking them. Others have noted that both speeds aren't necessary, but I find that the lower speed has worked better
