When I first tried this foot file, I wet my feet to soften the skin. The file did nothing for my calluses and dry skin. Then I thought of using it on dry feet without soaking and it worked wonders. It's a good size - big enough to hold well and small enough to store easily. It works on all my calluses, even the hard one on my toe. I mostly use the fine-grain side rather than the coarser side. It removes a little dead skin at a time for a very smooth end result. The file is easy to clean because it is made of plastic. I found this file easy to hold and really removes dead skin but it left my heels a little red and sensitive. That doesn't happen with my conventional foot file. My heels were completely dry as I wear flip flops in the summer months and as nail salons were open due to Covid closures they needed extra attention. Now I will use the file regularly and I hope that the tenderness does not return and that it smooths the feet really well.

My feet and healing get a lot of calluses from wearing sandals all summer and dry weather in winter. This is a good foot file. It works great and doesn't clog like others. The cover is not included so be careful as it is very sharp (you can easily skin the joint. Work slowly and only use a little at a time (if you overdo it the skin will be tender and uncomfortable ).I Rinse it after each use and let it air dry.
