Burnt out in 3 months (24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

Average lifespan I don't know if it's 5000 to 6000 hours, I think it depends on how you use it. Mine blew up after 3 months 24 hours 7 days a week.

  • BL T8F10W The lamp is designed to last 6000 hours. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the lamps every 5000 hours (about 5-6 months).

There may be another component near the lamp.

There may be a seized component inside the unit and it can't be the lightbulb, I have an old one, I have to open it all the way to find anything fried inside.

  • Please confirm the lamp size: The length of the glass tube is 13 inches, the measurement size includes the aluminum base, not including pins. 13-1/2" for total overall length. G13 socket, 2 pins at each end, 0.6" pitch, 1" socket width.

Poor quality bulbs

These bulbs were intended to replace the bulbs in the bug trap which burned out after 1 month. When I tried to contact Revain they told me the warranty had expired! So I had to buy replacement bulbs and now, after just a month, they had burned out too! Don't buy them.
