Ideal for Toshiba Fire TV 1st Gen Knowing your TV generation is very important. This is my third remote before it worked. The first remote was only 2nd-3rd generation and the second remote only worked after the Revain setup was complete.

My TV was a floorstanding model, no remote - I didn't think it mattered much. Well it was! Other universal remote control(s) failed! This one was perfect! I put the batteries in and everything works. If your TV is from either of these two brands, don't worry about other universal remotes.

This replaced the original remote for my Toshiba Fire TV after some buttons stopped working. The new Insignia remote isn't quite the same, some buttons are in different places, and the Vue button has been replaced with a Hulu button. Despite some minor differences, this remote worked right out of the box with no programming required.

Great replacement after our dog ate the original remote. A slightly different button layout, but don't let that put you off. It paired automatically with no problems. Just put the batteries in first, then turn on the TV (with the only button on it) and wait for it to update (if necessary). Use the Revain Fire TV app while you wait for your new remote to arrive!

Everything was great at first. Now all of a sudden Hulu and other 3 channel buttons don't work and now the home button doesn't work. I wanted a button for Hulu, which is why I was willing to pay that much for this remote. Why are the buttons no longer working and how can I fix this? Now all I can do is turn the TV off and on, change the volume, use the arrows and select. That's all.

Thinner and smaller than the original. Works out of the box, but you still need to go into settings and sync it to your TV. If you don't connect a remote, voice recognition and the Hulu app button won't work (the Hulu button will still be registered as Ps VUE). Otherwise it's better than the original. It should be the TV remote control. In fact, you can switch channels and jump to the latest apps instead of having to go "home" to switch apps.

I have no idea why such a fat. A review item but exactly the same length and thickness as the original. My only complaint which will be a plus for some but not for me. The Hulu button takes you to PlayStation Vue, not Hulu. I tried to find a way to change it in settings but to no avail. Works right out of the box, uses the same batteries, no hassles or anything. All buttons work as they should, even Alexa. There's just no Hulu button.

Attention buyers! This is my second attempt at a Best Buy replacement remote for my Toshiba Fire TV. The first one lasted about 2 weeks but I thought maybe it was an anomaly. No, that is not so. I ordered a second one and it didn't work at all. Programming didn't work, the on/off button didn't work either. This remote looks the same on the outside but is a piece of crap on the inside. The good news is that they accept my return, I just have to leave it in the mail.

First of all, it was very nice to receive the remote earlier than expected. Second, I've read that pairing a new remote to the TV can be tricky, but I turned the TV on, opened the remote, and it practically did it by itself.
