Color and quality same as replaced cord. I can't be sure if the old cable was original. The original cable was cut off by scrap collectors when I found my plumbing in the trash. I think the price was fair given the cost of copper which is 50 feet of cable. Its quality is similar to our cables for Kirby and Rainbow vacuum cleaners (the highest quality among vacuum cleaners). It comes with a grounding strap installed.

So I bought these cables to replace the worn out cables on my Windsor Sensor XP vacuums. I like the extra long 50ft power cord compared to the 40ft OEM power cord. However, the quality and durability cannot be compared to the original Windsor power cord. The jacket on this cord is a little softer and moves a little. Looks and feels like a great power cord, with a nice plug at the end. However, this is one of those products that people order and then sometimes don't use. My Bissel vacuum overheats twice and shuts down. The vacuum has three filters that are periodically cleaned by an air compressor, so I decided the power cord was to blame. We have about 3 dozen Windsor vacuums at my maintenance location and I need to change cords regularly. These replacement cables are great. 18 gauge is what most vacuums draw up to 12 amps, so that's fine. A hard smooth jacket is necessary because if you use a soft jacketed cable (I did) it will after a while become twisted like a phone cord as it twists around the corners.
