The remote works perfectly once you move away from it, which is almost impossible. I had to unplug the back of my remote that came with the TV to gain access. If I didn't have this remote right now, I'd be screwed.

The remote (like the originals) is very difficult to open. I gave up and discarded it in a drawer. When I finally managed to open it, it worked fine. The only problem is that it turns off the TV if anything other than the power button is pressed. No deal breaker. just annoying.

Instructions don't say anything about batteries or installation. The lid doesn't slide. One negative review revealed that the case had to be broken open to reveal the battery compartment. Are Five Star Reviews Fake? Not worth the cost of gas to take to Kolya for a free return.

The first one grew legs and walked. This one is a lot less stiff than the original and doesn't feel like the original. Easy to sync with TV. Works with Samsung Smart TV 6 series. The reason for no 5 stars is that it feels stiffer and lighter or doesn't look like the original. Pros: Works great and syncs easily. long gone.

There is always a feature that does not work and it changes every time. Sometimes volume works, sometimes volume works, but channel switching doesn't work. As I can't open this remote to make it work I can't tell if it actually works. I couldn't open the back wall either, it doesn't slip. It's either glued or poorly made (probably both). I will give it to my dog, she will open it in no time. Suggestion: Buy a genuine Samsung replacement remote control. Update: Absolutely AMAZING! Not only do I love this remote control, my dog does too. As much as the original (which she also ate). I just bought my second of these replacement remotes after chewing on the first one. Other reviews mention the lack of programming which was AMAZING. The feeling is different. The materials are a bit cheaper, but the price is worth it. I didn't have any issues with the buttons, but they do click a little differently than the original. All in all, if you have a compatible Samsung TV, buy it now
