Replacement gas can spout and vent kit let's you update old cans instead of buying a new one. Push - in vent cap for faster and safer emptying, filter/flame arrestor prevent any serious damage for smoother and cleaner pouring, improved gasket. Fit for older Scepter Midwest kerosene diesel cans and other pre 2009 plastic can but not metal kerosene diesel container water jug. Each kit includes: (1) Rigid angle spout, (1) spout cap with string, (1) "O" ring gasket and filter screen, (2) base caps, (1) push-in vent cap. 3 Kits included.

Sturdy plastic replacement - worth the investment!

When I tried this product, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of durability it provided. The replacement plastic was able to withstand hazardous materials and proved to be a great upgrade from the previous version. The stainless steel feature also adds a new layer of protection. The only con was the initial investment cost, but it is well worth it for the added safety and longevity. Overall, an excellent addition to any industrial and scientific work environment.

Good spout, bad caps

I need a spout with no safety features. It covers it. The two supplied screw caps did not fit either on my petrol tank or on one of the two newly ordered tanks. I was able to use the spout with the existing screw cap on my tank so it worked. I'm just not sure why none of the ones supplied will fit in another tank.

How They Work

Okay, the yellow threaded screw caps are too high to screw in far enough to tighten the spout and secure it to the glass. BUT, 3 different jars with 3 different spouts and I was able to use the lids from each to ensure a perfect seal. Full 5 gallon cans turned upside down and no leaks with screw tops, nice feature. Use a 1/2" drill bit for the vent holes, it should pull the plastic right out. Then BFH plug the vent sharply, also tightly closed. Good product, yellow caps should be about 1/8thโ€ฆ
