Meets expectations for crafting

I felt I had to write a review because of all the negative reviews. In my experience this resin works as expected compared to what I've been using from Sophie and Toffee for the past year. I heard about it through one of my resin communities and the price and delivery were very attractive. Similar to my other resin and arrives much quicker. I did a little test to start the loops, under a 36w UV lamp, clear, colored and opaque, all cured perfectly. There was minimal shrinkage in some cases…

Great product - art glues and pastes

I use it all the time and have bought it 4 times already. I've recommended it all along in the UV Resin groups I follow. Like most UV resins, it becomes tacky after just a few minutes of curing. This is normal as UV resins cure quickly, but will take some time to fully cure. Just put it in the sun for a day or under a lamp for more than 15 minutes and no problem. I also want to solve the problem of shrinking, warping and yellowing. All UV resins will do this if the layer is too thick. This is…

Toxic fumes. Art Supplies

Use as directed, in a ventilated area. I'm pretty sure the non-toxic part is a lie. Definitely smells toxic and will give you a headache if you don't have ventilation. Curing takes longer than I expected, probably due to thick layer build-up, and I've had a pair that stayed tacky and/or soft no matter how much I cured them - maybe it touched them too much to test (because of the oil on my hands messing up the chemical reaction). So my advice for using; 1. Open the window and turn on the fan.2…

Doesn't cure well in thick molds

Tried this resin for the first time today. I've been making resin jewelry for a number of years, but decided to give this "quick drying" material a shot. I'm not a fan. I used it on a couple of small molds (1 x 1.5", 2 x 2.5", etc.) and then put them under a UV light to dry. The top and side panels were cured in about 15 minutes, but even after 1 hour the front was always clean. soft and does not dry out or even harden. So I tried it in layers. That worked a little better. I was hoping to use…

Ok resin not much smell

Updated 12/11/2019 - After some more use and comparison to other UV resins I've put my two star rating on hold. Even if applied in a thin layer, it will not cure properly. I thought it was my little UV flashlight so I bought a more powerful UV flashlight but apparently that's not the problem. I'll probably need thinner layers, but geez, this is going to take forever and I might as well use epoxy at this point. It has more curing problems when you add gloss or pigment. This combined with the…

Good UV resin!

I have now bought 2 bottles of this and I love it! I was new to working with resin but watched a number of YouTube videos so I felt I had a good grasp of what to do. I use this resin to coat the front and back of my pens and also to coat wooden trays. In my experience, everything came out clear and cured with no yellowing! I usually cure them with a small cheap UV lamp and then leave them outside on the patio for a day as suggested by some other reviewers. The resin will heat up during curing…
