If having a very small radio is important, this model will suit you.

I tested this transistor radio briefly and it works. It is definitely small and light as it can be easily hidden in a shirt pocket. The reception is good as I can tune in to my favorite local stations. The sound quality is below average, but this is more due to the small size. With such a small size, the front speaker should also be small.

Poor build quality

I really wanted to like this radio but as soon as I started using it I felt a rattling noise from the FM antenna. I noticed that I could wiggle it slightly and it seemed like it was moving a circuit board attached to an antenna in the radio. So I'm deducting a star for build quality. Another star is deducted for the speaker. It's tinny and flat. Prunis proves with their J-777 that you can put a good speaker in a cheap radio that is way better than this. Great Sound Digital Radio Tuning AND Timed Mute

Finally a small radio I can keep in the bathroom and listen to local news, weather and music while I get ready for work in the morning --- and it has one really great sound. The digital tuning is so good that such small radios are usually very difficult to tune in and get a good signal. This gives you the exact track number: for example 99.5. I don't even have to extend the antenna and get excellent reception from the local FM station. A BIG bonus is a timed shutdown. All you have to do is hold
