Broken out of the box. There was a rattling noise when the video was opened. It turns out that the speaker on the other side is not working. In addition, the microphone arm is too short to position it correctly in front of the mouth. But this is normal, the microphone still does not work. On the other hand, the only speaker that works seems loud enough.

They were very cheaply made. Totally plastic. Not for all head shapes. I have a pretty small head and can't adjust it to fit my head. The earbuds slip a bit, but that's not enough. You can't customize the shape above at all. It is a molded plastic that does not change shape. I had to go back because of a seizure. The volume also seemed too quiet to me, even at the highest level.

We use it for our computer operators in the church when they want to talk to camera operators. They have good sound quality and the microphone in the headset ensures that people with a camera can hear the computer operator clearly. The problem is that cameramen don't like them because then they can't hear what's going on in the church, so they're not well suited for use where people want/need to hear their surroundings.

PTT works but in VOX mode it will transmit continuously until it switches back to PTT. This has also been noticed by other reviewers. In a quiet room, I tried the lowest VOX settings on the Baofeng UV5R, Kenwood TH-F6A and Tytera MD380. In any case, he transmits immediately. Another headset works fine for me. One reviewer said he bought two and one of them actually works as it should. I think you have a 50/50 chance VOX will work. :-/ The seat of the headset is uncomfortable.

We got these for some walkie talkies for our PR team but wish we had invested in better quality headphones as they don't sound too clear. They have a very muffled tone, as if the driver is damaged or is leaving. We thought it might just be a couple but they all sound the same. Unless you need great sound quality they probably work in a pinch, but if you want to hear details other than the person speaking I'd look elsewhere.

I didn't want to spend $100 on headphones for my UV-5R so I decided to give it a try. They work, I hear quite loudly out of both headphones and the claimed mic sound from the headset I'm told is no worse and no better than the built in UV-5R mic. So the rating is like $20 headphones. From an audio engineer's point of view, we typically get headphones for $125 for recording and about $200 for mixing. Headphones from the store for 20-60 dollars with a sound box. Good for voice but difficult to hear, lacking detail. So to enter the market for headphones that come with a $20 mic, they need to find ways to cut costs. Worth every penny but not many pennies to walk around. They may be of use to some people.
