Easy to install and operate. And the materials are soft and economical. Will not harm baby or pets. I buy it to lock up my pet so it can go to the second floor. It works great.

It's practically useless if you have cats! They can even squeeze through the bottom gap so easily that the material flexes just enough for them to just push through. The sides are useless unless you can get past the wall to hook the clips. Otherwise the cats just slip through. It's easy to set up and use, but not ideal for cat owners.

We needed this for the top of our stairs but as my parents are elderly I couldn't use this baby gate as it has a slightly raised base underneath. It is easy to open and close and less risk of tripping. My husband installed it very quickly and our daughter even slapped it and it still held up. Would definitely recommend if you have a dog. Nice lock to keep it tight.

We liked this gate so much that we ordered a second one! I like that it slides out and takes up little space when not in use. The network is not very strong. It gives way when a toddler or large dog puts its weight on it. There is also a small room below. It's about an inch from the floor to the bottom of the gate. So it might not suit everyone. This set is a bit strange. It includes a second set of hooks (presumably for use in one of two directions? How often is that needed?) but only one set of spacers. If you have a standard 3/8-1/2 inch thick baseboard, that's fine. If yours is thicker than mine then the top spacers are not enough to fill the gap and the ones in the kit are a bit flimsy as well.
