Lighten Whitewall Tires

I bought new whitewall tires for my old Lincoln and got them painted a nasty yellow at the paint shop. I used retro brite to make them white again. I had to do it 3 times because I didn't have enough daylight to do it all at once, but my tires look like new again. It's a lot cheaper than another new set of tires.

Removes yellowing from plastic without rubbing.

Product works as advertised but may not completely remove yellow from plastic the first time. Heavily yellowed areas need to be re-treated, which is to be expected. The rest of the processing comes very close to the original. I applied it to the plastic with a wide brush, then put it in a plastic bag and left it in the sun for many hours. Note. It does not turn white immediately, it takes several hours as it is a gradual process. I will definitely use this product again.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

I've tried everything: cleanser, straighteners, bleach, bartender's friend, baking soda, and vinegar. My next step was to use acetone, but I didn't want to use something that harsh. I bought UV lamps and made 2 coats. The gel is still there and I refresh it with hydrogen peroxide. It took about 2 days but it works. Now all I have to do is apply the tub and tile…

Worked great on a homemade bathtub!

Purchased to brighten up a yellowed bath or shower at home. Our house was built in 2012 and sold in 2013. In 2015 he came to us. We keep the shower curtain partially closed over the shower/tub, but this front corner is getting extra UV from the window and has started to turn yellowish dirty. Although the hubs didn't notice, it confused me and I looked for a workaround. Putting a "rubber glove" on one hand, I dipped my hand in the Retrobrite bath and applied a thin layer to the area I wanted to…
