Scratches very easily. When I received it, it already looked like a small scratch, but everything was fine. Then with the car on the way to the slopes I saw that it was scratched a lot more than I even used it. And now it's very scratched, although I've never fallen skiing, hit my head or anything. Also, it gives you a mushroom cap as mentioned in the reviews.

Please note that some of the different color options may also have a different design. This is most evident when looking at the location of the vents. When the vents are star-shaped, there is an extra stitch that makes you look like a mushroom. If the vents are parallel lines, there is no seam and you're done! In addition to the optics, the helmet was comfortable to wear and true to size.

The helmet came decently but not at all like the photo. Can't really put my finger on what it's like to actually use this helmet but it fits the head surprisingly well - no wobble. I sent it back and only gave it 4 stars for the chin strap: I can barely fit in a medium sized helmet so once I had the chin strap fully adjusted it sat awkwardly on its side with the strap and clip resting against the bottom my chin. I have to thank this company, Retrospec, for saving my life! On March 26, 2022 (a week ago) I had a bad skiing accident while skiing down the slopes and was accidentally hit by a snowboarder. I was hit so hard I fell off my skis, one of the ski bindings came off and I hit my head so hard the protective foam inside the helmet ruptured! I found this helmet too heavy and bulky. I also didn't realize I had ordered something without vents to cover. I followed the size chart but I think I could have ordered a size smaller.
