Our family has officially stopped wearing stockings. With 4 grown children, their loved ones and our four-legged grandmothers, this year I decided to try bags with wooden name tags instead of traditional stockings. They were a hit and lasted longer than yesterday's stockings.

At the moment they seem to be very durable. I bought them to use at work and to give to other people I work with. So far everyone loves the bag's durability and reusability without having to lug around plastic or paper bags. There is a lot of usable space in our machines. I've washed a few of these and after washing they feel like an old pillowcase but still seem to be quite durable. When new and unwashed, they are a hard canvas. For what I use them for, I probably won't wash them often.
