. Specialty Kitchen Utensils - But Perfect for Using Miso Paste

I'm not usually a fan of specialty kitchenware - but this is perfect for using miso paste! This makes measuring and mixing miso so easy and mess-free that I know it will be a part of my kitchen essentials from now on. Very good quality product.

Perfect for my daily bowl of miso

I made miso soup on a winter morning and loved it, but it's a little harder to make than pouring a bowl of cereal. This little whisk makes things a little easier by measuring out just the right amount - small end for 1 cup dashi, large end for 2 cups - and serves as a tool to dissolve it in the broth.

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

It now holds pride of place in my kitchen

It really is perfect for measuring and mixing miso in soup and also perfect for mixing multiple eggs for an omelette. Actually better than a fork or a regular whisk. There are several Asian grocery stores that I live in but none of them have this. Instead, they carry things like colanders with big holes to dip a scoop of miso into the soup and mix it into the hot liquid, but that still leaves you with the task of measuring it. So both works.
