RAMPS UNSAFE for Motorcycle & Powersports

These ramps may be safe for ATVs, but don't use them for vehicles. I would value her at ยฃ3,000. They must be recalled by the manufacturer before anyone is killed.

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Modern

Purchased in February 2016. Used twice - once in February for an oil change on a Honda Crosstour and today 30th June 2017 for an oil change on a "Nissan Altima". The bottom edge literally cracked and collapsed (the entire side of the ramp collapsed). I drove the car out immediately because it scared me. I should have snapped a picture of this thing crumbling under the tire.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Long delivery time

May not work for some vehicles on smooth garage floors.

I have a rear wheel drive Mustang and at least on the garage floor the ramps kept sliding forward of the car after I climbed the ramp a few inches. The ramp has a small rubber grip that works like a grip on the ground when pressed down, but as soon as the tire went past it the ramp slipped off. I thought the car fell off him, a horrible feeling. The quality seems to be ok. Front wheel drive should work fine. Looks solid, there were no problems with the return of the goods.

Pros
  • Nice Packaging

Dangerous product for motorcycles and power sports

I ordered these ramps for small jobs on my 2011 Mazdaspeed 3. I opted for heavier ramps for safety reasons. My car is not approaching the 16,000 pound weight limit. While my roommate stood in front of the car to guide me, I slowly drove up to the ramp. As I approached the ramp, the front end began to buckle, causing my car to continue forward and the front end beginning to collapse. This caused the ramps to get stuck under my car and damaged the trim. I had to jack up the car to remove theโ€ฆ

Plastic is plastic, steel is steel, steel is stronger.

I used to change the oil on my 2005 BMW X5. These ramps have a wider footprint for larger tires and a 16,000lb weight limit so my car isn't too big for these ramps. As I was about to store them in my shed, I noticed that the sides were curved. I checked why, looks like the hole on the side is where the bend starts and it won't return to the correct position. I followed all manufacturer's instructions, ramps were on level concrete, tires were properly aligned, no overlap. Design flaw orโ€ฆ

Very strong on loading ramps

These ramps are very well made and very strong. They held my CR-V with no problem. When I saw some of the flaws, I checked them for warping or cracks. I didn't even see a slight curve on the sides of the ramps. A few things I like. There are rubber bumpers on the underside to prevent the ramps from slipping when placed on a clean floor. The ramps nest inside each other so they take up less space in the garage. The front lip at the top is very pronounced, making it easy to tell when you're atโ€ฆ

  • I won't say anything

Great concept but failed with very little usage. Not recommended.

When I first received these ramps I really liked them. Very portable, easy to store and I had no problem getting the car up ramps. I have used them twice for an oil change in my car and have had absolutely no problems. (The curb weight of the car is around 3500 pounds, well below the advertised rating.) However, I picked up these ramps just recently when I wanted to look at a used car and I wanted to take a look underneath. However, as I lowered the ramps, I noticed a 3 inch crack in one of the

True rating per ramp.

I have been using ramps to service my cars for several years. I ruined my last set by accelerating my F-550 too quickly, the hard stop had bent the ramps and distorted them. They didn't collapse. My old ramps were RhinoRamps, rated at 12,000 pounds and 12 years old (I mentioned age because the plastic could lose strength over time). The new 16,000 pound ramps are wider and a little heavier so I'm hoping they're ok as long as I control the speed of my truck going up the ramp and stopping. pounds
