🍸 Riedel Extreme Martini Glass: Crystal Clear, Set of 2 - Elevate Your Martini Experience! Review

The description of these glasses states that they hold 8 ounces. They barely hold six ounces! These are beautiful jars but thought I'd order 8 ounce jars.

I was a bit skeptical about these martini glasses. However, I'm so glad I bought them. The rounded edge makes them much more functional than regular straight sided martini glasses. They are easier to drink and more leak-proof.

I will never buy any other brand of glass. I can definitely feel their unique shape enhancing the notes/flavor of a good wine/champagne no matter what your reason for buying them. I have two other sets of this brand in a unique shape for this type of wine and since I buy good wine I deserve good glasses and they are.

They are beautiful and elegant but something about the shape/proportion doesn't quite match my personal aesthetic. But there's nothing wrong with them, I'm keeping them and I'm sure martinis drunk from them will be delicious. They are replacing a crystal martini glass that I had for a long time and was sad to lose, so maybe that's part of it.

I drink it almost every day. When my favorite glass broke, I looked for a replacement. I was hesitant but when I saw that they can be washed in the dishwasher I went for it. They look great and feel good in the hand. My favorite detail is the rim of the glass. So many martini glasses bounce at the top which can cause them to spill, but the steeply sloped rims of these glasses ensure I never lose a drop through a spill.

I love Riedel glasses, I have several of most sets but these are faulty. I've bought more expensive Riedel glasses from Housewares (factory defect glasses) that have fewer defects than these. The stems of the glasses are fused which is well done but poorly done. Both jars have a groove to hook a nail in, it's that big. Don't waste your money when you're spending that much, spend a few bucks more and buy a decent Riedel or something else for the same price.

I chose these because they were worth the extra money, the design and quality were superior to most competing glass products. When I received it, I was surprised at how thin the glass bezel was. It felt like it could break very easily. And after the first use they appeared. I was so disappointed as they are not the cheapest and was expecting a lot more. I will never buy this brand again. I never gave much thought to which glass to use until I attended a Riedel wine glass tasting course. The right glass made me believe that a good Chardonnay is really worth the price. Wow. Dry Oregon Rieslings have always been great, and noticeably better in the right glass. Rose and Shiraz glasses are a gift (hope my husband isn't reading this review!) but I expect our New Year's Eve toasts to be even tastier.
