Not compatible with my laptop

Not compatible with Dell Inspiron Laptop. You need a USB-C Thunderbolt3 to HDMI adapter. Of course, your laptop must have a USB-C socket.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

Works well at 50 feet.

I made 2 50ft Cat 6 jumpers for about $3 and used these 2 extension cords to hook up to a remote TV. It was a lot cheaper than buying a 50ft HDMI cable, which would also be more difficult to run through walls.

Pros
  • Multiple Competitors
Cons
  • Quality

This requires two ethernet cables

After getting this I didn't realize there was a limit to the length of the ethernet cable. Which was quite disappointing, especially after doing a little more research I found one that supported longer lengths and only required an ethernet cable.

Pros
  • , good thing
Cons
  • So so

Worked fine when I took off my stupid hat and found out.

Worked fine when I removed my stupid cap and found it required TWO 8 pin Cat 5 connectors so 16 wires together. I was willing to return it for a refund, I even bought a different adapter. Don't Be Me Each adapter requires two fully wired RJ45 connectors, and each wire must go to an identical connector on the other adapter.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Damaged

Worked fine for 10 minutes. EDITED

This thing worked fine for about 10 minutes. After that, I lost the sound, and then the picture turned on and off. Then it just stopped completely. I will return this one and look for a better one. Edited ** I returned the product and bought a similar one. The new one didn't work at all, so I looked again at my wiring and found that one of the ethernet cables I made had a wire in the wrong place. I'm changing my rating to 4 stars because it was good when it worked and it really helped solve the

Doesn't work best with HDMI cables

I used CAT6 to split/split the signal with HDMI splitter and tried to use this device to do it via CAT6. FAIL! I threw this junk into my faulty equipment list when the return expired when I finally got started on my project. In the end I settled on the "OREI 164-Feet HDMI Extender” using the same cables and HDMI splitter I already had with no modifications. A little more expensive but worth it, it works! It's been almost a month and a half with no problems, not enough time to call it a buy…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Useless functions
