Will not stay connected to Oculus Quest

I bought this to use with Oculus Quest as an extension cord for another USB 3 cable. After plugging it in, I kept hearing the sound of a new device being recognized Windows, and then the sound of disconnection. Again and again. Tried different USB ports, same problem. I thought maybe the cable was bad so I swapped it out for another one but the second one had the same issue. It might work for other devices as well, but I didn't have any other USB-C devices to test with. I liked the cord. I love

Do not use for DATA or USB hubs

Only positives: solid construction and red color. It's a shame I didn't read the reviews before buying and installing. I used this to connect to a USB 3.0 hub and had intermittent communication problems for months and couldn't figure out what the problem was. USB hub, Logitech mouse, keyboard, webcam, USB audio almost thrown away. I bought a new headset because of all the problems. Now I think I wrongly blamed my Jabra headset. I bought this cable extender solely to extend the cable for my XP Pen Artist 15.6 Pro. I use interactive displays for my work. This cable is a high quality and durable product.
