Easy repair. - Accessories

Easy to repair. But not easy. Removal and installation were easy. HOWEVER, the ribbon cable is slightly longer than the original and kept hitting the reset button after installation. As a result, I had to tape the tape back so it didn't touch the button. Installed 2 months ago, no problems so far. Great device.

Very good screwdriver

I'll start by saying the screwdriver was $7 but the ribbon connector was about 2mm deep and there was no clip to hold it in place so I had to glue it to the Krazy connector. So far it's working, but I doubt it will last. I still have a new controller on the way. If you are looking for a genuine item, please choose another option. But again, the screwdriver was very good.

Not compatible with cuh-zct1u PS4 controllers

This product does not work with my cuh-zct1u PS4 controller. At first it didn't fit the pins in the assembly so I shaved it off, connected everything up and plugged it in. No detection that it's charging was a brand new cable that worked on other devices. I will return or just try soldering the charging connector to the old chip as I feel the cable and external connectors are incompatible

So far so good. The original USB connector was worn and loose, resulting in inefficient charging. I just swapped USB and IC and tested with the original tape to see if it works before reassembling the controller. I now have a ribbon cable as a backup. It should be noted that the hue of the LED will not match that of the OEM part. Golden yellow light indicates charging phases, less warm and cooler, greenish yellow. Now I have a working, working controller again!

Had a white camo PS4 controller that died. I didn't quite understand what was going on with him as he wasn't hitting on at all. I used a battery from a PS3 controller that I had properly charged (fortunately the connector types are the same between PS3 and PS4, as are polarity and voltage). A good battery had the controller working, so it was either the PS4 battery or the charging board.
