Favorable bokeh, good for camera lenses

Very well built, with buttery smooth aperture and focus rings. Pretty soft when wide open, but in a good way. For the price I'm totally thrilled.

Very soft wide open but good price

Image very soft wide open but at 0.95 this is very good value for money. If you don't make money from your camera, recommend this.

A fast manual focus lens that delivers great results.

What a fun and cool lens. I was looking for a fast lens that can be used day and night. It does the job and does it pretty well. It's a bit soft wide opening, but very useful. I find the flare it offers when photographing against bright light very interesting and gives a different look. The lens has some weight but is lighter than some other f0.95 lenses. This would be a great lens for those looking for something reasonably priced with a fast aperture.

  • I have no dislikes for this, it's just good

Awesome mirrorless APSC lens.

Use this on my S35 Sony FS5 for low light in combination with a Mitakon 50 0.95 and it's great. My only complaint is that at 0.95 it doesn't appear as bright as the Mitakon for some reason, but it's close. Also very sharp shooting wide open in 4K. In fact, I haven't figured out the steps in the photos yet. The smooth-running aperture ring is good, but makes it difficult to set the aperture, but it's a common feature of all these types of Chinese lenses. But for the price you can't go wrong, I…

This is a great lens for the money.

Manual focus is a skill that can be learned, and most modern m4/3 cameras have manual focus, so don't worry about it too much. Just shoot with it and enjoy that aperture. Wide open there is a slight haze in areas that are ONLY out of focus, but that's not a bad thing, and what's in focus looks pretty sharp. It's well built, the focus and aperture rings are muted and smooth. The focus on infinity annoys me the most. The lens can physically rotate past the infinity mark on the lens, and the…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Upgradable

Absolutely ridiculous - far exceeded my expectations

The price looked good but I couldn't find much information about it. To be honest I almost expected to test this lens for a day and then return it for Mitakon f0.95 or Fuji f1.2 when it was terrible. Just got distortion, color and performance tested in most cases. its range is pretty much blown away. The construction is also very solid. And they happened to throw in some free filters? I probably won't use them, but it's nice when you need them. I'm really excited to be filming this and…

Great lens at a price comparable to the Mitakon 35mm f/0.95

I took a chance and bought this lens after seeing it on Revain but couldn't find any reviews anywhere . Overall, the lens looks very good for the money. Build quality is solid as everything is metal and glass. The focus ring and aperture ring rotate smoothly and with a good amount of resistance. The aperture ring doesn't click, which is great for video but can be problematic for photography. This was used on the Fujifilm X-T4 and the focus assist makes it pretty easy to use even at f/0.95…

Pretty good for the price

I shot with this lens on my Sony A6400. I've compared it to my other 35mm lenses, the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art and the newer Sigma 35mm f/2 DG DN, both of which are more than three times the price (the Risespray was £199 at the time of purchase U.S. dollar). very well built: the focus and aperture rings are very smooth and properly weighted. It has a decently long focus travel, although I wish the aperture ring was notched. The case is solid and neither looks nor feels cheap. Photo quality is…
