Get something even better in Small Appliances

I've been making homemade ice cream in my Donvier handheld ice cream maker for years. A few years ago I decided that I wanted to try electro. I've tried Rival several times over the last few years without success. Ice just doesn't freeze. I did an experiment this weekend. I have frozen buckets for both ice machines. I made 2 liters of strawberry ice cream. I poured 1/2 of the mixture into each bucket and then froze them side by side. This next part makes absolutely no sense to me, but that's…

Pooh. back to salt and ice. Don't waste money!

About 10 years ago I had one of those little jars of gel. That does not work. Bought one that uses Stone Board and Ice. Went like clockwork. I recently had to replace it and bought this gel can ice maker. What a waste of money. As I write this, I am making my second attempt at making ice cream on this useless device. Works well when used correctly

I have owned this model for several years now. I use it about once a month and it hasn't given me any problems. It doesn't freeze much ice cream (if it did, the device wouldn't be able to flip - wow); After 20-30 minutes of stirring, when a soft texture has formed, I usually transfer the ice cream to a plastic container with a lid and leave it in the freezer. It's very important to chill the pudding in the fridge (I keep mine covered on the porch during the winter) before pouring it into the…
