Enhance Towing Versatility with Roadmaster 0778 Dual Hitch: 2-inch Receiver, 2-inch and 8-inch Offsets Review

This part was exactly what I ordered and the tolerances were listed. I've towed my car several thousand miles and attached a bike rack and haven't encountered any problems with the hitch.

Very strong, durable part. The central shaft is made of strong steel while the rest is solidly constructed. The corners are chamfered and heavily welded. Very, very strong stuff. I am very happy with it. More of these things!

Replaced a Sulythw twin receiver (GTW 5K) with this Roadmaster gem. The first one bothered me, while the RM is a solid (not hollow) receiver insert. No comparison. Heavier but the design, materials and welding are much better. Added a pair of anti-rattle clips (CZC Auto Hitch Tighteners by Revain) for the main hitch and bike mount - rock solid. I only tow a 3,000 pound Jeep Wrangler and have a 5,000 pound rating on the hitch, but I went big to avoid problems. Just make sure your tow links are…

I almost didn't buy this item based on all the feedback about the mismatched holes. The first thing I did when I got it was check the hole alignment in all configurations. I'm happy to report that they seem to have fixed everything that was going on with quality control at the time these reviews were written. It works flawlessly in all sorts of configurations. Also, it's *really* heavy hardware with a solid steel shaft and looks like it'll serve me well, although I thought it was a pretty salty
